Columbia Academy Lady Bulldogs Softball Champs!

CA Lady Bulldogs Softball State Champs 2021

A proclamation was announced at the June 10th Columbia City Council meeting by Mayor Chaz Molder declaring the day as "Columbia Academy Lady's Softball Team Day". The 2020-21 CA Lady’s Softball Team coached by Head Coach Seth Anderson and Assistant Coaches Emily Anderson and Danny Ford and Trainer Andrea Roberson are recognized and commended for their outstanding 41-2 winning season. 

The team won 27 games in a row and were the only team in the state to win over 40 games while outscoring opponents 63-8 in the postseason. The Lady Bulldogs completed their first full season competing in Division II-A, won the Division II-A Middle Region Championship, have made 5 straight Sectional appearances. They advanced to the finals and defeated Tipton-Rosemark 2-1 in the Title game to win the State Championship.

The 2020-21 Lady Bulldogs Softball Team marks Columbia Academy's 6th trip to the Spring Fling, winning back-to-back State Championships with this title being their first Division II-A Championship. The Lady Bulldogs and coaches have shown professionalism, commitment, sportsmanship, determination and dedication that has brought positive recognition not only to themselves, but to the entire student body of Columbia Academy, the City of Columbia and Maury County.

The City of Columbia recognizes the players, coaches, support staff including Columbia Academy President Dr. James Thomas and Athletic Director Pernell Knox for their outstanding 2020-21 softball season.
