Council Presents Awards to Columbia Mayor's Youth Council

CMYC 2-21-2022

Columbia Mayor's Youth Council had the honor of being presented at the April City Council meeting. The City is pleased to have this fine group of students represent the youth of Columbia. Mayor Chaz Molder and PIO Jacey Bomar presented each council member with a certificate of completion and an achievement award to Keyton Kodatt, 2021-2022 CMYC Chair and Co-Founder. The CMYC accomplished great things the 2021-2022 school year 🔽

・ Hosted a Holiday Toy Drive where over 500 items were donated from toys, books, & clothing for local non-profits and KY tornado victims

・ Learned from various community leaders regarding City government, City planning, and how to navigate the workforce and college

・ Volunteered at various community events

・ Placed in competitions for additional organizations involved

The City wishes them the best in their endeavors and is excited for next year! Stay tuned for 2022-2023 applications to be released in May.
