A Trailblazing Park Named for a Trailblazing Leader

Named after Columbia's first female mayor, Barbara McIntyre, this park carries on her legacy by providing new and exciting opportunities for recreation to the residents of Columbia. Barbara McIntyre Park is located directly off Bear Creek Pike, in the northeastern part of Columbia, on nearly 40 acres of land adjacent to both E.A. Cox Middle School and Randolph Howell Elementary School.

Barbara McIntyre Park features an LED illuminated rectangular field useable for football, soccer, and lacrosse (to name a few), baseball and softball fields, is home to Berm Wood Mountain Bike Park (with 2.5 miles of hiking and mountain bike trails), and will soon be home to a nature center.
