The Columbia Police Department utilizes a special response team which is comprised of one Sergeant and four officers. Special Response Team (S.R.T.) supports the Patrol Division and assists other specialized units throughout the Police Department. S.R.T. reports directly to the Captain of the Patrol Division for direction and focused enforcement assignments. S.R.T. Officers are highly trained in tactics and current crime trends to assist with their daily activities.
