Events and large gatherings on public property in the city limits of Columbia, especially those that require street or sidewalk closures, must submit a Mass Gathering Event Permit sixty days prior to the event and complete the review process before being considered for approval. Please read the municipal code document and complete the Mass Gathering Event Permit.
$25 non-refundable permit fee is due when submitting completed application to the City Recorder Department at City Hall - 700 N. Garden St.
Liability Insurance coverage of $1 million is required, naming the City of Columbia as additional insured. This is required for any events & large gatherings involving City property.
