The City of Columbia Parks and Recreation Department is dedicated to providing the citizens of Columbia with welcoming and scenic parks, exciting and engaging recreational programming, and unique special events. Our parks are thoughtfully maintained and offer a great number of recreational activities. Our recreation centers are open regularly and our friendly staff members are always there to greet you. Our programming is designed to engage adults, children, seniors, and families. Whether you're looking to enjoy one of the shelters and play a few rounds of disc golf at Woodland Park, take in a softball game or two at Ridley Park, or looking to get into shape with our fitness programs at the Armory Recreation Center - we've got you covered. It's easy to find something fun and exciting to do with the Parks and Recreation Department so come on down to your nearest park or recreation center and get involved!

The Parks and Recreation Department features over 500 acres of beautiful city parks, shelters, tennis courts, walking trails, an outdoor pool and athletic fields. Don't forget about our newest additions - the Ridley Sports Complex and the Riverwalk Park along the Duck River. We work very hard to provide a wide variety of programs and services for all.
