Welcome to the new City of Columbia web site! We recently redesigned, reorganized, and re-engineered our web pages to make information easier to locate. There is a new site search engine on the home page for your convenience, the “I want to…” drop-down feature containing the most popularly sought topics, and a slide-out common links section. News items and an events calendar are placed prominently on the page to organize items of interest. There are new, locally-produced segments in our video tour, found in the slide-out section at the bottom of the home page. The site is coded to auto-adjust based on the size of the device you’re using, and much more mobile-friendly. Each department is responsible for their own set of pages to allow faster dissemination of news and information. Social media links are now integrated for accessing Columbia news feeds. There is even a plug-in for Google Translate at the bottom of the page to select from nearly 100 different languages. We hope you like the improvements, and more importantly, that the result of these changes more effectively communicates the information you want and need.
